Design a banking app that is aimed at a young audience.

Process

The spin-off team around K'Ching had the assignment to create an appealing app around basic banking functionalities, but also to innovate the way youngsters interact with their financial services provider. I got involved in designing the main transaction pages and flows, as well as the conversational part and UI-animations to juice up the experience. On top of that new concepts for how to interact with the banking services were designed. Along the way the app got expanded with additional functionalities and themes, so this required setting up a design system as well.

Solution

This project provided the team with a nice playground to rethink banking services, more specifically for youngsters. We were able to experiment with conversational banking and transaction input, custom theming, savings goals and additional mobility and lifestyle services that are relevant to a young audience. The result was a lively and well-received digital banking experience.
